Lindsey Kuhn (owner of Denver based SWAMPCo) has been making art since 1984.
He started screen-printing t-shirts in 1984 to pay for maintenance of his massive backyard skate ramp - the largest in the south at the time.   The popularity of his clever and provocative designs propelled him into the first phase of the life of a professional artist. 

Lindsey is best known for helping to revive the lost art of the screen-printed "Rock Poster" in the 90's by way of a move to Austin Texas.  Within a year of moving to Austin in 1990, Kuhn started printing posters for Southern California based L’imagerie Gallery.  L’imagerie financed a print shop in Austin which produced art for Robert Crumb, Ed Roth, Robert Williams, Joe Colman, Frank Kozik, Szukalski and others.  Implementing this invaluable education, Kuhn started to design and print posters of his own.  He moved on to work with several venues across the county including Jabberjaw, CBGB’s, Emos, The Fillmore, The Metro, and many others where he produced posters for a wide variety of bands such as AC/DC, Tool, The Pixies, Devo, Pearl Jam, Eagles of Death Metal and hundreds more. Lindsey’s work has been shown at international shows in Japan, France, Switzerland, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, along with several prominent galleries in the United States. There is a collection in the archives of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & The Pop-Art museum of Austin.

Lindsey has also had a prolific career outside of rock posters. He has created large scale outdoor art murals. Founded Conspiracy skateboards where he ran a professional skate team and designed skateboards. He also had an Austin record label(and distribution) No Lie Music ('93-98).  Most recently along with having a solo show at Blackbook Gallery in Denver for his Original “100 Bucks” series, Lindsey has started his own “Aloha style” clothing line which incorporates his art into skate and surf apparel.  Lindsey and SWAMPCo continue to produce unique provocative stickers, t-shirts, pins, and other wearable art incorporating New designs & art from the past 30 years.
