Collection: Serigraphs
Serigraphy, also known as silk screening, screen printing or serigraph printing, is a stencil-based printing process in which ink is forced through a fine screen onto the paper(canvas, wood, museum or illustration board, etc.) beneath. The screen is made of finely woven polyester or nylon. It is stretched onto a wood or aluminum frame, then areas of the screen are blocked off with a stencil. A urethane-bladed squeegee is used to spread the ink evenly across the screen, allowing ink to pass through the open spaces onto the paper below. A different screen is used for each color in the print, resulting in a final serigraph with great color density, color saturation and texture. This process can be time consuming and there can be slight color variations through the print run.
Lindsey has printed his own work since the late 80’s. As well as printing for many other artists over the years. Here are some of the serigraphs available at this time.
